Pretzel rolls


I find myself journeying to a corner of the world where the delightful concept of pretzel rolls is yet to be discovered. Despite the hotel I’m fortunate to stay in embracing a diverse array of bread from across the globe, the absence of pretzel baked goods is palpable.

Enter the magic of Instagram connections! Thanks to a culinary-savvy friend on the platform, I’ve now mastered the art of crafting pretzel rolls, or as we affectionately call them in Swiss German, Silserknöpfli. The distinctive blend of a crisp, salty crust and the pillowy softness within makes them an exquisite treat, especially as a prelude to the weekend. Imagine this: straight from the oven, lavishly coated with a decadent layer of velvety butter – an experience that truly feels like a taste of paradise.
