When an Italian bakes in Provence

We ran out of cake the other day (I know, how could that have happened…!) so I took a look at our stock of food and decided to make a crostata with cherry marmalade, which we made two weeks ago.

While mixing the shortcrust dough together in a meditative way, the idea to add some fresh thyme crossed my mind … just to add a little zing to this classical Italian cake … when an Italian bakes in Provence …
