Autumn in my plate
The recent weather drop had me yearning for some hearty eats. As a meat lover, I couldn’t wait for game season, which is in full swing right now. I’m lucky to be in a city that serves up local Swiss game with some strict but much-needed rules – especially for someone like me who’s all in for Slow Food.
Now, let me paint a delicious picture of what we recently dug into. We started with mouthwatering deer sausages and a salad featuring beetroot, dates, and pine nuts. The main event was the deer cutlet and tender loin fillet, served with Spätzli and red cabbage – classic comfort food. And to cap it all off, we enjoyed a warm lava cake with plum sorbet, a surprisingly fresh and delightful dessert.
So, enjoy the flavors of the season and savor these carefully prepared dishes – it’s a tasty journey you won’t want to miss.
