Züri Trüffel
While the days are gradually growing shorter, there’s a silver lining in Switzerland – mushroom season is currently in full swing, and it’s a delight to behold. Thanks to the perfect blend of sunshine and rain, these diverse fungi are not only abundant but also exceptionally flavorful.
For the past few years, truffles have been flourishing in various regions of Switzerland, and I consider myself fortunate to call Zurich my home, where this year’s truffle harvest seems particularly bountiful. My excitement was immeasurable when I discovered this exquisite gem at my local produce market last Friday, promising multiple sumptuous family meals. The pasta and scrambled eggs it graced were nothing short of culinary ecstasy, and the memory still makes my mouth water.
In the second photo, you can admire the finely grated truffle, soon to be harmoniously blended with cream, butter, and, of course, perfectly al-dente pasta. What more can I say? May this opulent season of flavors and indulgence continue to unfold!
