Flowers we trust: from Bluemehof to the Cibo & Vino table

At Cibo & Vino, every pop-up dinner is more than a menu – it’s a celebration of stories, traditions, and the people behind the ingredients. Just as we carefully choose producers who share our values when it comes to food, the same care goes into everything that sets the scene around the table. Flowers are no exception!

That’s why I trust Bluemehof. Their philosophy is deeply rooted in the Slow Food principles of good, clean, and fair: flowers that are naturally grown, in harmony with the seasons, and with respect for the land and the people tending it. No shortcuts, no mass production – just patience, care, and beauty, cultivated in rhythm with nature. They also avoid pesticides, letting nature regulate growth in its own way: insects eat bugs, birds eat insects, and the cycle continues as it should.

These values resonate strongly with Cibo & Vino. For me, the experience of dining together goes beyond what’s on the plate. It’s about creating an atmosphere where guests feel connected – to the food, to the producers, and to each other. The flowers from Bluemehof bring this philosophy to life, adding a natural elegance that feels both authentic and meaningful.

For the next Cibo & Vino Cookbook Club dinner, flowers are not just decoration – they are the theme. Each dish will be inspired by the beauty, delicacy, and resilience of blooms, while the table will be graced with the very flowers that inspired it. It feels only natural to work with a producer whose values mirror my own, and whose flowers carry with them a story of care and respect.

Trust is the foundation of Cibo & Vino. Just as guests trust me to create a memorable evening, I place my trust in producers like Bluemehof. Together, we cultivate an experience where everything – from the food to the flowers – tells the story of good, clean, and fair.
