When flavours and textures unite

With just a couple of ingredients this dish unites the freshness of a burrata, the crunchiness of the hazelnuts and the wintery hearty feeling of the Brussels sprouts and bacon. A keeper … at least in my house.

Brussels sprouts and burrata tartine
Servings 1 Tartine
Ingredients
- 1 slice rye bread
- 1 handful diced bacon small dices are easier
- 4 Brussels sprouts cut into very fine slices
- 1 handful roasted hazelnuts chopped roughly
- 1/2 medium sized burrata
Instructions
- On medium-high heat slowly let the bacon dices fry, being cardful not to burn them. After 4-5 mins add the sliced Brussels sprouts and let them gently fry together with the bacon dices.
- Break the burrata in two and spread it over the slice of rye bread. Add the Brussels sprouts and bacon cubes on top. To fish off, add the chopped hazelnuts.
