The art of a simple table

At Cibo & Vino, I’ve come to trust that some of the most unforgettable dishes are also the simplest 💫 Take this moment from our last pop-up dinner: thin slices of ripe pear paired with aged Pecorino Sardo. That was it. No garnish, no trickery. Just two good ingredients, given space to shine. Guests couldn’t stop talking about it.

We often assume that making an impression in the kitchen requires complexity. But sourcing well and letting flavours speak for themselves is an art in itself—and one that’s accessible. Good food doesn’t need to be expensive or elaborate. It just needs intention.

From the way a table is set to the decision to pair a peppery cheese with the sweetness of a perfectly in-season pear, what matters is care, not complication.

If you find joy in thoughtful food and believe that hospitality can be both grounded and special, follow the Cibo & Vino Cookbook Club on Instagram. After the summer break, you’ll find more inspiration—and the chance to join our next exclusive pop-up dinners.
